Abstract
From these results we can deduce that the food of M. holsatus does not concist of living Crangon crangon. It is true that shrimp remainders can be found in the stomach but it probably concerns ill animals, that don’t have the strength to fligh away fast enough, or dead animals, when crabs are lead by the smell released by the corps. From these results we can also conclude that contrary to previously expressed suppositions, the M. holsatus is not a threat to the shrimp stock and fishery.
