Abstract
PIANC supports many empirical formulas for predicting ship squat in entrance channels. When performing a design analysis for ship squat, many ship and channel parameters are not known with certainty. This paper examines the sensitivity of several ship and channel parameters on predicted ship squat for the Susan Maersk containership.
