Abstract
    The present report deals with a collection of 33 species of Nassariidae from New Caledonian waters. Approximately 30 % of the species recorded are new geographical range extensions. Nassarius bifarius (Baird in Brenchley. 1873). previously considered a synonym of N. novaezelandiae (Reeve, 1854). and N. stigmarius (A. Adams. 1852). Previously considered a synonym of N. splendidulus (Dunker. 1846). arc now acknowledged to be valid, separate species Nassarius olomea Kay, 1979 is synonymised with N. crvbricostatus (Schepman. 191 I). Nassarius (Zeuxis) arcus sp. nov is described and recorded from depths of 95-200 m.
