Abstract
In the Frasnian at Boussu-en-Fagne and Frasnes (southern border of the Dinant Synclinorium), the genus Costatrypa Copper, 1973 is represented by the species C. eremitae n. sp., C. lecomptei n. sp., C. fossae n. sp., C. variabilis (Godefroid, 1970) and C. sp. A. The stratigraphic value of these species for the subdivision of the Frasnian is displayed. The representatives of the genus inhabited a sedimentary environment characterized by argillaceous limestones and calcareous shales and by the development of a fauna dominated by brachiopods.
