Abstract
    A new species of Neoterebra is described and compared to its congeners in both the W Atlantic and E Pacific; a revision of a number of taxa, based on type material and additional samples, is undertaken to clarify the status of a number of taxa in the synonymy of Neoterebradis locata (Caribbean) on the one hand and Neoterebra petiveriana, Neoterebra hancocki and Neoterebra glauca (W America) on the other hand these include Terebra rudis, Terebra petitii, Terebra onslowensis and Terebra radula.
