Abstract
Mainly by beach profiling and beach budget computation the author studies the evolution of an erosional coastal megaprotuberance, hitting a section of the Belgian coast and provoking a lowering of the beach anda retreat of the dune foot. He elaborates a comparison of the first six months evolution of an artificial beach in that section made by sand nourishment using the Longard method, and that one of the adjacent natural beach.
