It is a database-driven portal system on which the NIOO-CEME scientists can apply analyses to the analytical laboratory. Each series of samples is accommodated in a batch, and thereby is a metadata part with a description of each sample (specimen lab, field sample, location, time, ...). Not only the metadata of the samples will be stored in the LIMS. Also, the final measurement data resulting from the analyzes requested are stored in the LIMS and are reported to the scientist that way. In addition, the LIMS includes also the NIOO-CEME CTD and underway monitoring data.
