Description
Data on the phytoplankton communities in the Gulf of Marseille were collected as part of the programme “Séries à long terme” of the ‘Service d’Observation du Centre d’Océanologie de Marseille’. Data collection started in 1994 at two sites. The SOFCOM site is situated around the Frioul isles. Sampling was carried out bi-monthly at the watersurface (1 meter depth) at maximum chlorophyll depth.
