Chemical content and reflectance of Senecio inaequidens, Jacobaea vulgaris, Senecio erucifolius Citation Carvalho, van der Putten & Skidmore, 2011: Chemical content and reflectance of Senecio inaequidens, Jacobaea vulgaris, Senecio erucifolius. Netherlands Institute of Ecology, Netherlands. Metadata available at http://mda.nioo.knaw.nl/imis.php?module=dataset&dasid=2849. https://marineinfo.org/id/dataset/2849 Contact: Almeida de Carvalho, Sabrina Availability: Unrestricted after moratorium period Data are initially restricted, but the access condition relaxes to academic or unrestricted once a specified period of time after an event (such as collection, publication, completion of QC procedures or project cessation) has elapsed Description This file contains the data geathered in a greenhouse experiment where Senecio inaequidens, Jacobaea vulgaris and S. erucifolius suffered different nutrient and water stress treatments. This was performed in poor sandy soil from cluefields in Veluwe national park. The dataset contains shoot biomass, chlorophyl a and b concentrations, nitrogen and carbon %. Total Pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA) content, the concentration by main chemical groups: teriary-amines, otocenines and N-oxides, and the 40 individual PAs identified with their specific concentration. Additionally we have the reflectance data of each individual samples between 400 and 2250nm wavelengths.
