Description
The area of Zeeuwse Banken is a resource for bottom sediment extraction in the Southern part in the Netherlands. The sand is used for coastal defence and inland use. The impact of sand mining is assessed on the basis of an annual variable number of sampling stations of which a number are permanent The surveys are carried out in combination with NIOZ Yerseke the small benthic species. The program is carried out for LaMer
