Description
An OBIS version of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) Pacific multispecies small mesh bottom trawl survey data from 1963-2012. Survey data are collected by DFO stock assessment staff during annual trawl surveys originally designed with the primary purpose of developing indices of abundance of commercial shrimp species. The survey data have now evolved to monitor trends and document all species encountered. more

The original dataset, provided by OBIS Canada, contains all distribution records. The dataset in OBIS Seamap is a subset of the original dataset, only containing marine mammal, seabird and/or sea turtle records.
