Mainly macrofauna samples were obtained, either from rocky as well from sand beaches including the mouth of two rivers. Voucher specimens are listed following the official codes - LIMCE, of LABOMAR (http://www.labomar.ufc.br/) and MZUSP, Marine Invertebrates (http://www.mz.usp.br/collab/inv_mar.html). Otherwise, the listing is a code out of the combined initial of authors’ surnames for the different chapters of the publication. The extent of taxonomy exceeds the publication.
