Zooplankton and ichthyoplankton were collected from the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas during the fall 2002 R/V Mirai cruise. Samples were taken at 33 stations using a 330 µm Bongo net. In general, the coastal stations were warmer and less saline than farther from shore and peaks in fluorescence were near 25 m depth. The distribution of zooplankton was patchy, both in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas, and was dominated by copepods.
