The data were digitized by VLIZ from the original report: Jaspers, E. (1969). Louisiana State University: Baton Rouge. 47 pp. more Fauna present in burrow water consisted mainly of planktonic Crustaceans. In general, the animal groups in burrows were similar to those present in the adjacent pond or ditch but fewer species and numbers occurred in the burrows. The benthic fauna in the burrows were dominated by Oligochaetes whereas aquatic insect larvae, mainly Diptera dominated in the ponds and ditch.
