The soil was analyzed for abiotic characteristics and nematodes. In the greenhouse, the soil was conditioned with plant species characteristic for original or for disturbed fen meadows. After harvest, the soil was analyzed for some abiotic characteristics, nematodes and ergosterol. The soil was planted with three different Carex species in a mixture of the same species, of original fen meadow plants or a mixture of disturbance plants.
