These distribution records were collected as part of a university PhD thesis project designed to investigate variability in plankton dynamics found in Lunenburg Bay, an inlet on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia,Canada (Lunenburg Bay Project) This OBIS resource contains a subset of the archived database records - at this time only abundance information has been released. more This resource was created by OBIS Canada. Plankton data collected as part of the thesis project was first archived in the Fisheries and Oceans national BioChem database. Darwin Core (DwC) records were extracted from the BioChem database in the required IPT format. Abundance information is included in this dataset and the numbers per cubic metre are recorded in the DwC field individualcount.
