The non-aggregated data are available through the OBIS-SEAMAP Portal Description Satellites tracking of marine turtles was done to identify the main feeding sites of marine turtle nesting in Kenya and assess the interaction between marine turtle and industrial fisheries during their migration. Three nesting sea turtles were tracked from a beach in the North coast of Kenya (-3.83°S, 39.82°E). One of the turtle moved North to a known foraging creek (Takaungu), while another moved to a foraging ground on the South (Gazi). The third turtle just foraged on the near shore reef within where it was tagged. The purpose of the tracking was identify the main feeding sites of marine turtle nesting in Kenya and assess the interaction between marine turtle and industrial fisheries during their migration.
