Historical maps of the coastal zone [Historische kaarten van de kustzone] Citation Contact: De Hauwere, Nathalie Availability: This dataset is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. Description In HisGISKust, historical maps from the 16th, 17th and 18th century with specific information about the Belgian coast and/or the Scheldt are digitally disclosed. The maps are georeferenced in order to visualise and compare them in a standardised way. Derived products and metadata of the maps are made available to end users in open access. Furthermore, time-lapse movies with the evolution of the coastal zone and information about toponyms and cartographers are made available.
