Description The dataset is a taxonomic description of the epibenthic communities associated to Crepidula fornicata habitats. Data are High-Definition videos and photos recorded with a recently developed towed video system (called Pagure-2). 27 videos profiles and ~1300 photos (~50 photos per profiles) have been recorded. The quality of the data is not homogeneous since the cruise was planned first to test the video system at sea and to do technical tuning. Data were obtained on several Crepidula beds differing in terms of Crepidula density/biomass and Crepidula vitality (alive/dead beds). more Sampling in the framework of Jerico-Next JRAP2 Scope Themes: Biology > Benthos > Epibenthos, Biology > Invertebrates Keywords: Marine/Coastal, Community diversity, ANE, France, Brittany, Brest Bay, Crustacea, Echinodermata, Mollusca, Porifera, Tunicata Geographical coverage ANE, France, Brittany, Brest Bay [Marine Regions] Temporal coverage 16 October 2016 - 20 October 2016 Taxonomic coverage Contributors Institut Français de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la Mer; Centre de Brest, more, data creator Related datasets Parent dataset: JERICO-NEXT: Joint Research Activity Project 2: Benthic Biodiversity, more Project Jerico-Next: Joint European Research Infrastructure network for Coastal Observatory – Novel European eXpertise for coastal observatories, more Dataset status: In Progress Data type: Data Data origin: Research: field survey Metadatarecord created: 2017-03-15 Information last updated: 2022-08-09 |
