Phycoerythrin fluorescence and cell counts of phycoeryhtrin containing species, ferry Finnmaid Helsinki - Travemunde, summer 2016 Citation Jukka Seppälä, Suvi Rytövuori, Petri Maunula, Seppo Kaitala; Marine Research Centre, Finnish Environment Institute (2016); Phycoerythrin fluorescence and cell counts of phycoeryhtrin containing species , ferry Finnmaid Helsinki - Travemunde, summer 2016. https://marineinfo.org/id/dataset/5676 Contact: Seppälä, Jukka Availability: This dataset is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Notes: Data policy: https://en.ilmatieteenlaitos.fi/open-data Description Dataset contains phycoeythrin fluorescence records during transects of ferry Finnmaid 25.5–31.8.2016 (four times per week) between Helsinki and Travemunde. Fluorescence was measured 20 second intervals using Microflu-red (Trios Gmbh) and Unilux -PE (Chelsea Technologies) fluorometers, installed in flow-through system. Water samples were collected weekly from three locations and ell counts of phycoerythrin containing species were carried out using epifluoresence microsopy (picocyanobacteria) and flowCam (larger cells). more Fluorescence is measured in relative units, using either analog (Trios) or digital (Chelsea) output. The instruments have been intercalibrated before experiment, with coefficient of 40. Detailed information of the instruments (e.g. LoD, LoQ, linearity), measuring protocols and details of cell counts can be obtained from the contact person. Data was collected in the framework of JERICO-NEXT JRAP1.
