Description
Data products were established based on hyper-spatial mobile terrestrial laser scanning (MTLS) surveys of the beach topography at low-tide near Mariakerke-Bad on December 5th 2016. A special service vehicle (SSV) equipped with a closely-coupled laser scanner, RTK-GNSS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) provided a dense point cloud of the inter- and supratidal beach topography. Ground Sampling Distances of 10 cm and vertical accuracy of 5 cm were achieved. This method yields a high spatial resolution with the possibilities of measuring at a meso-spatial scale.
