3D modelling of intertidal beach zone (Mariakerke-Bad, December 2016) [3D-modellering van intertidale strandzone (Mariakerke-Bad, december 2016)] Citation 3D Data Acquisition Research Unit - UGent, Belgium; (2016) 3D-modellering van intertidale strandzone (Mariakerke-Bad, december 2016). https://marineinfo.org/id/dataset/5887 Contact: De Wulf, Alain Availability: For more information on the restrictions, use contact information. Description Data products were established based on hyper-spatial mobile terrestrial laser scanning (MTLS) surveys of the beach topography at low-tide near Mariakerke-Bad on December 5th 2016. A special service vehicle (SSV) equipped with a closely-coupled laser scanner, RTK-GNSS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) provided a dense point cloud of the inter- and supratidal beach topography. Ground Sampling Distances of 10 cm and vertical accuracy of 5 cm were achieved. This method yields a high spatial resolution with the possibilities of measuring at a meso-spatial scale.
