Pollution of the North Sea on the Belgian coast from Koksijde to Middelkerke

Description
The goal, aimed at in this study, in the frame of the planned emission of waste water in sea in the surroundings of Nieuwpoort-Lombardsijde, was to check the qualitative and quantitative composition of micro and nanno plankton in this zone of the Belgian coast. In order to do this monthly samples were taken in two subsequent years, from May 1970 until May 1972, in 9 stations located around the planned emission location. When possible , as well as surface layer samples, deep layer samples were taken.
