Description
Current and temperature time series collected over the inner shelf at various locations along the Algarve coast, northern margin of the Gulf of Cadiz. more

Vertical profiles of the flow (u, v components) collected since 2008 using bottom-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) at various locations along the south coast of Algarve, over the 25 meters isobath. Vertical resolution of 1 meter. Temperature time series close to the seaafloor, at the ADCPs. Surface gravity waves characteristics in some places and some periods. Monitoring is prioritarly conducted at Armona Station which is the site with the longest deployments. Deployments at the other stations are more sporadic, dependent of technical constraints and instrument availabilities. The flow field monitoring is a joint effort of CCMAR, CIMA and IPMA with the support of Tunipex in the Armona Station.
