Description
Hard-substrate monitoring by using an Artificial Reef Monitoring Structure (ARMS) was conducted in a pilot-study by Flanders Marine Institute in the BPNS in 2018. An ARMS was deployed at two stations, AZFPoutside and AZFPinside, from July to August 2018. The ARMS were sampled, analysed through metabarcoding and results were compared with traditional monitoring techniques in order to demonstrate the improvement of applying novel techniques.
