More than 50 individuals are being tagged with acoustic transmitters (ID-MP13 and ID-HP16) in the Tejo estuary, an important spawning and nursery habitat for the species in the European NE Atlantic coast. Tracking will be supported by the acoustic network of Tejo, which is composed of 16 acoustic telemetry receivers (VR2Tx), and by the Portuguese Tracking Network (PTN), spreading along the coastline and other major estuaries.
