Description
COVID-19 pandemic strongly affected gENESiS, drastically reducing project length. We managed to perform some immunolocalization with rhodamine phalloidin on crinoid embryos and tried out a new in situ hybridization technique called HCR in situ with specific probes for the evolutionary conserved muscle terminal differentiation gene myosin heavy chain (mhc). Using this new approach we did obtain very nice results, with detection through the HCR in situ approach of an expression pattern for mhc than was similar than that classically obtained with the common chromogenic in situ hybridization technique.
