Modeled distribution map of discrete Lophelia pertusa colonies in the North East Atlantic in 2021 Citation Graves K.; Howell, K.; University of Plymouth (UoP), United Kingdom; (2023): Modeled distribution map of discrete Lophelia pertusa colonies in the North East Atlantic in 2021. https://marineinfo.org/id/dataset/8243 Contact: Howell, Kerry Also accessible through: Availability: This dataset is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Description Species distribution models (GAM, Maxent and Random Forest ensemble) predicting the distribution of discrete Lophelia pertusa - Desmophylum pertusum colonies assemblage in the Celtic Sea. This community is considered ecologically coherent according to the cluster analysis conducted by Parry et al. (2015) on image samples. Modelling its distribution complements existing work on their definition and offers a representation of the extent of the areas of the North East Atlantic where they can occur based on the best available knowledge. This work was performed at the University of Plymouth in 2021. moreThis project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 862428 (MISSION ATLANTIC).
