Abstract | This project is a prolongation of the similar project that was approved in december 1996. The main objective is to introduce a course on "comparative federalism" with covering course material into the curriculum of Russian universities and colleges. The educational character especially appears from the multidisciplinary approach and the use of the concept "teaching the teachers". Prof. Somers will focus on the analysis of the influences of processes of integration on regionalism and federalism from the point of view of the European experience. The Russian partners are the Institute for History and Archeology of Jekaterinburg, the Moscow Lomonosov State University and the State University of Kazan. |
