Abstract | The present study will focus on the interpretation of geophysical data - seismic and sice scan sonar - in particular on the 'Hovland' mounds in Porcupine Basin. Sedimentological of sediments will characterise the different mound components, biogenic and inorganic. Geochemical research will help to evaluate to which extent gas leaks create an environment that is suitable for mound genesis. |
