Dataset on bathymetric evolution (0m and -2m MLLWS) of intertidal zones and shallow water zones at the habitat areas Schor van Ouden Doel and Plaat van Boomke [Dataset van bathymetrische evolutie (0m en -2m GLLWS) van intergetijdengebieden en ondiepwatergebieden aan de habitatgebieden Schor van Ouden Doel en Plaat van Boomke] Citation De Cock, F.; Cel Hydrografie-Schelde - AMT; (2004: Dataset on bathymetric evolution (0m and -2m MLLWS) of intertidal zones and shallow water zones at the habitat areas Schor van Ouden Doel and Plaat van Boomke. https://marineinfo.org/doc/dataset/424 Availability: Unknown The correct value is not known to and not computable by the creator of this information. However a correct value probably exists Description On the basis of the 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2004 maps the -2 m contour and the 0 m GLWWS contour of the different dates are compared. This way, the development of the intertidal and the shallow water areas can be checked. more Objective: In the fresh water part of the Schelde, the intertidal areas are delimited by the zero-meter-depth contour of the riverbed. In order to outline the development of the surface area of habitats along de Schaar van Ouden Doel and the Plaat van Boomke, a bathymetric evolution of the depth contour of 0 m GLLWS is set up. In addition, the evolution of the shallow water region is determined. This region is ecologically important and is defined between the 0 m GLLWS-contour and the -2 m GLLWS-contour (2 m beneath GLLWS). Monitoring: On the basis of the 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2004 maps the -2 m contour and the 0 m GLWWS contour of the different dates are compared. This way, the development of the intertidal and the shallow water areas can be checked.
