| Abstract |
The goal of the project is to define a comprehensive system, which is able to map plastic pollution in the whole water column (from the surface to the seabed). To this effect, we will test and deploy multiple innovative technologies, operating both above and below the surface. As direct detection of the amount of plastics is not possible for all layers, the use of proxies will be investigated. The feasibility and valorisation potential of the suitable set technologies will be demonstrated in several case studies. |
