Abstract

The benefits of exposure to green nature are well-known, but the biological mechanisms linking "blue spaces" to mental health outcomes remain poorly understood. BLUE-NX investigates how coastal environments influence the human autonomic nervous system by mo. By monitoring neurological and physiological processes during real and virtual coastal exposures, this research aims to better understand how coastal exposure leads to psychological changes. Besides fundamental breakthroughs, BLUE-NX will provide new scientific ground for implementing nature-based therapies at the coast.
