Abstract
    A resume of the genus Mononchus Bastian, 1865 is presented, including two new species, M. macropapillatus and M. sheri, which are described and illustrated. All known species in this genus are considered and several are redescribed and illustrated. M. cristatus, M. brevicauatus, and M. fovearum are designated species inquirendae, and M. crassiusculus, M. hainanensis, M. intermedius, M. obtusus, M. neotumbridgensis, and M. serramarginatus incertae sedis. Taxonomic keys for the males and females are provided.
