Abstract
A new species of opossum shrimp (Crustacea, Mysidacea), Mysidopsis cojimarensis, collected from Cuban marine benthos, is described. It was taken on sandy bottom at 20 meters at Cojimar, Habana del Este, Ciudad de La Habana Province. The main characteristics of this species are the form and color of its eyes, the weak and almost naked thoracopods, and the number and arrangement of the telson's marginal spines.
