Abstract
The paper reports the settlement of a population of Desdemona ornata Banse in a fully marine and polluted environment in Elefsis Bay, Saronikos Gulf, Greece. D. ornata may be an opportunistic species, taking advantage of unpredictable estuarine or polluted environments, which in this case was carried into the area by ships.
