Abstract
This report contains a short comparison of the dimensions, particulars and manoeuvring characteristics of the first and second generation Triple-E container ships. The Madrid Maersk arrived in June 2017 in the port of Antwerp. Comparing the characteristics of these two generations helps in defining the conditions under which the Madrid Maersk can enter the port. The report has been updated after the arrival of the first second-generation Triple-E in Antwerp with the evaluation reports of the pilots in Appendix. These evaluation reports are confidential.
