Abstract | Notocomplana koreana, as its name suggests, originally occurs in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, near Korea. This flatworm was likely introduced to the Netherlands among the fouling communities on ship hulls and is now found in the Veerse Meer, the Grevelingenmeer, and the North Sea. To date, no specimens of this flatworm have been found in Belgium. In its natural range, this worm is found in the intertidal zone on the underside of stones along sheltered rocky shores and occasionally in mussel beds in exposed rocky areas. |
