Description
Near the Paddebeek different parameters (sedimentation, sedimentation characteristics, macrobenthos, vegetation, birds) are monitored to allow the evaluation and perhaps adaptation of the infrastructure and management.

A sedimentation-erosion plot exists out of 3 cores that are fixed into the mudflat. The 1,5 m long cores are set up in a triangular position, 1500 mm h.o.h. (length is 1500mm). The cores form a horizontal reference plane of which the reference height TAW is known. When strong sedimentation or erosion has taken place, the cores are prolonged or shortened.
