Description
Laboratory measurements of biogeochemical fluxes in acidified and natural sediments from the Belgian part of the North Sea more

The dataset contains measurements of sediment-water fluxes of oxygen, ammonium, nitrate and estimated nitrification rates from station 115bis and 330 in February and April 2012 under natural and acidified conditions. In the acidified conditions, the overlying seawater pH was set 0.3 pH units lower compared to natural conditions (~ pH 8.1), which is the situation expected by 2100. Next to biogeochemical rates, also macrobenthic community data are provided, as well as chlorophyll-a content of the sediment.
