Sectie Mariene Biologie: Gent. 109 pp. more To get an idea of the demersal fish fauna the shallow sub littoral (3-4 m at low water) of the sandy beach, in front of the nature reserve of "het Zwin" was sampled with the help of a 1.90 m fine-meshed (10 mm straightened mesh) tree-dredge-net in 1985. Some basic ecological parameters such as seasonally occurence, density and biomass were measured. Furthermore, the composition of the diet is evaluated for the species Agonus cataphractus, Liparis liparis and Pomatoschistus minutus, by means of stomach analysis.
