São Paulo State University (UNESP): Brazil; Marine Biology Research Group. Ghent University (Ugent-MARBIOL): Belgium; (2020): Fatty acids analysis of shrimp in São Paulo, Brazil. Marine Data Archive. https://doi.org/10.14284/392 Contact: Gonçalves, Geslaine Availability: Unrestricted after moratorium period Data are initially restricted, but the access condition relaxes to academic or unrestricted once a specified period of time after an event (such as collection, publication, completion of QC procedures or project cessation) has elapsed Description Information about the composition of fatty acids in shrimps Xiphopenaeus kroyeri (Heller, 1862), Litopenaeus schmitti (Burkenroad, 1936) and Farfantepenaeus paulensis (Pérez Farfante, 1967). The samples were collected with a trawling fishing in Cananéia (25°04’ S 47°50’ W); Ubatuba (23°27´S and 45°02´W) sea in São Paulo state of Brazil in September and October 2019, respectively. more Dataset with the values of different fatty acids found for three species of shrimps (Xiphopenaeus kroyeri, Litopenaeus schmitti and Farfantepenaeus paulensis). Shrimps species were identified by Costa et al. (2003) and composition analysis of fatty acids was carried out using a gas chromatograph.
