Diet composition Methodology
Diet composition: Stranded birds stomac analysis
Fresh corpses of fish eating seabirds found during beached birds surveys are stored in freezer and are dissected to determine diet composition. Food remains are seperated and analysed under binocular. Length of fish otoliths are identified and measured under microscope to a precision of 0,01 mm.
