Description

Deployment off Cap de Creus from February 21, 2023, to March 18, 2023, to investigate the cold-water cascade from the continental shelf (inshore) to the slope (offshore), with a focus on the morphology of subsea canyons.

This work was conducted as part of the ABRIC/FARDWO fieldwork campaign in collaboration with the University of Barcelona and UTM-CSIC. The campaign involved the deployment of AUV Barabas and Glider Yoko, provided by the Marine Robotics Centre at VLIZ (Flanders Marine Institute), alongside an oceanographic survey onboard RV Garcia Del Cid, to collect high-resolution data and advance understanding of cold-water transport processes.
