Abstract:
The Ocean Dynamics group is part of Oceanography at the the University of Reading. The group is currently headed by Dr. Remi Tailleux and is based at the Department of Meteorology.

  • Research interests of the group include thermodynamics and energetics of the ocean circulation, oceanic teleconnections, fluid dynamics, turbulent mixing, stability of water masses, physically-based parameterizations of sub-grid scale processes, thermohaline circulation and climate, oceanic heat and mass transports

  • PhD opportunities in dynamical fluid modelling are currently available, for more information click here

  • New! International PhD studentship (full fees + maintenance), see here for more information. Any student interested in a topic belonging to the above research topics, but not part of the list of PhD topics proposed can also contact Dr. Remi Tailleux directly to discuss about alternative PhD topics.
