Dr Fritz, Jan-Stephan

Expertise
Dr. Jan-Stefan Fritz is the Brussels Representative of KDM. Since moving to Brussels in 2003 he has represented different German research organizations, mainly in the field of environmental research. Prior to moving to Brussels he worked in the International Bureau of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and, before that, he was a consultant to UNEP and UNESCO. Stefan holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Stefan represents KDM in the European Marine Board. He is also WP leader for foresight in the CSA OCEANS project and task leader for science-policy relations in the ECO2 large-scale FP7 Integrated Project on the environmental impacts of sub-seafloor CCS. His most recent publication is on science-policy relations in the European Integrated Maritime Policy published in Marine Policy and he is currently writing an article on the politics of deep-sea mining.
