Abstract

  1. To achieve a critical mass of biological materials and human resources by interaction of participants from different scientific and technical backgrounds.
  2. To compile all necessary molecular, biological and socio-economic data for the creation of a standardised genetic catalogue of European marine fishes and a public accessible network of biological reference collections.
  3. To sustain a new developed online database with implemented WWW user-oriented tools collating the standardised data.
