Abstract
Coastal Futures is a research project, which deals with questions of a sustainable respectively Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) at the western coast of Schleswig-Holstein. In the individual subprojects the main emphasis of research is on the integrated analysis of the interactions between various types of coastal use as well as the interactions between human activities and the coastal ecosystem. Coastal Futures describes a joint research project supported by national and international scientific institutes, national authorities, the State Ministries of Schleswig-Holstein as well as regional and transnational institutions.
