Abstract | Despite their obvious presence, no information is available about bottlenose dolphins in Argentina with a resultant lack of awareness and conservation measurements in this country. Consequently, due to the increasing human activities, bottlenose dolphin sightings decreased notably since the late '80s in regions where it used to be frequent to observe them. Northeast Patagonia is one of the fex regions in Argentina where bottlenose dolphins can still be seen very frequently. Nevertheless, increasing human activities in the region result in increasing threats towards the conservation of these dolphins, motivating the creation and realization of the presented project. Study the bio-ecology of the bottlenose dolphins in Northeast Patagonia to obtain the information needed for their conservation. |
