Loire river sediment studies

Abstract
J.J. Peters acts regularly as sediment and morphology expert for the French governmental organisations (such as the Water Agencies) and for consultancy firms (e.g., SOGREAH) on the Loire river. He was requested to set up survey protocols (including topo-bathymetry, flow and sediment gauging) and he organised and executed the first test survey on the Loire River. For budgetary reasons, a comprehensive survey programme was not yet implemented.
