Abstract
The research combines, by using geostatistical techniques, industrial 3D seismics with high-resolution deeptow 2D seismic data collected in the Northern Porcupine Seabight. The aim is to clarify the genesis of the buried ('Magellan') carbonate mounds in the area, from the analysis of mound morphology and interaction with drift sediments. Mound growth, as situated in this dynamic environment, will be modelled.
